☕🍫✨ Hot Chocolate Bombs ☕🍫✨
Ingredients:
🍫 2 cups chocolate chips (milk, dark, or white — whatever tickles your taste buds!)
☕ 1 cup hot cocoa mix (the one that makes your taste buds do the cha-cha)
🍥 1/2 cup mini marshmallows (because, honestly, who can resist those little puffballs?)
🎉 Optional: sprinkles or crushed candy canes for that extra jazz! I like to use peppermint spoons to stir it up while it melts.
Equipment:
🥤 3 oz plastic, paper, or silicone cups (a.k.a. enchanted chocolate molds)
🔥 Microwave-safe bowl (for a chocolatey sauna session)
🥄 Spoon or spatula (your magical chocolate wand)
📃 Baking sheet (a.k.a. the stage for your chocolatey performance)
Instructions:
Melt the Chocolate:
Give those chocolate chips a trip to the tropical microwave at 30-second intervals, stirring like you're mixing a wizard's potion, until they're smooth and dreamy.
Coat the Molds:
Before you coat the mold, make sure to cut a slit in the side if you’re using disposable cups. Tape it together until the chocolate solidifies, then peel the cup away.
Use your trusty spoon to lavishly coat the inside of each cup with melted chocolate. Cover those sides like a true chocolatier! Don’t overfill, or you'll end up with a chocolate chunk rivaling your Netflix binge-watching endurance, and you won’t have room for the powder.
Place cups on a baking sheet and let them chill in the fridge for about 15 minutes or until they’re as firm as your willpower not to eat all the chocolate immediately.
Remove from Molds:
Once the chocolate is confidently firm, gently coax them out of their plastic or silicone cocoons.
Fill the Bombs:
Take half of your chocolatey creations and fill each with about 1 tablespoon of hot cocoa mix and a few mini marshmallows (more if you like your marshmallows like you like your friends — abundant).
Seal the Bombs:
Warm a plate in the microwave for just a few seconds. Let an empty shell kiss the warm plate to gently melt the edge. I like to cheat and just fill the rest of the cup with melted chocolate.
Quickly top it with a filled shell and press gently to seal the deal. Repeat until you’ve got a squad of these delicious creations.
Decorate (Optional):
Feeling fancy? Drizzle some melted chocolate over the top and give them a sprinkle shower or a candy cane blizzard.
Store:
Tuck your Hot Chocolate Bombs into an airtight container and keep them at room temperature until you’re ready to unleash the magic.
To Serve:
When you’re ready for a warm hug in a mug, plop one Hot Chocolate Bomb into a mug and pour hot milk over it. Watch as it explodes with deliciousness and happiness! 💥
